Light cardio

I’ve been out with an injury for quite some time now. I have a subluxated rib which continues to dislocate on almost a daily basis. It went from an annoying tightness in my back to SEVERE pain for a few days and now back to an annoyance with difficulty breathing. In addition to the constantly dislocating rib I know have a cartilage tear in the front of my ribs. Joy!

I got the OK to do a little bit of light cardio for a few days, so this is what I did yesterday on the C2:

1,250m warm-up

6x500m w/2 minutes rest – for these I started out very light and cautious and after not having a severe problem I amped it up towards the end as is evident with my times:
1:59.2
1:58.7
1:58.1
1:56.4
1:54.7
1:52.8

So total: 3,000m in 11:40.0

Finished with a 1K cool-down.

I then did a 2-mile route outside where I ran all the uphills. I live in a very hilly neighborhood and running on the uphills and walking level and down was actually quite fun. I will have to do that again! Plus it makes a long, boring walk go by a lot faster.
